The product is a website for a popular video game. The main user flow is the sign up process.
-
The Problem:
The problem is that many users are weary of sign ups that require too much information or are too complicated to use.
-
The Goal:
The goal is to make the website robust enough to make it appealing to new and experienced player, while maximizing usability and easy sign up processes
-
My Role:
I was involved with the project as UX/UI designer. I ideated different options, created paper and digital wireframes, conducted usability studies, and created digital high fidelity prototypes. I used Adobe XD for the entirety of this project.
User Persona
One pain point is that many games seem to exclude players that are not young males.
Pain Points
Users needed a way to sign up from multiple devices
Many users expressed a concern about sites who asked for more personal information that was needed to sign up
Digital Wireframes
Mockups and Usability findings
My goal for this page was to let the images do most of the speaking. I let this page be very light on the text and instead contain links to more text heavy pages since users wanted a more easily discernible type hierarchy.
I tried to make sure there was clear type hierarchy for easy screen reader use
Accessibility Considerations
The color contrast is fully accessible in all parts of the site.
